Kelly and Giffords formed Americans for Responsible Solutions (ARS) after the December 14, 2012, attack on Sandy Hook Elementary School.
They joined the push for universal background checks in the wake of that attack, although such checks would have done nothing to prevent it.
Kelly and Giffords have continued to push universal background checks in the years since, all under the guise of making Americans safer.
Breitbart News reported that Kelly failed to pass a background check to acquire a firearm in Tucson, Arizona, in February 2013.
The irony of this failure is that he went in the store to prove how easy it was to pass a background check and acquire a gun.
